Beautiful earth riches worked into dynamic, energetically-helpful designs.
Semi-precious stone beads and freshwater pearls combined with handcrafted Bali silver. Strung on nylon-coated steel with sterling clasps and findings. Double crimp beads used to finish.
I worked previously for two years as the in-house bead jewellery designer at Art of My Heart, TD Square, downtown Calgary, Alberta.

Note: Sterling does tarnish over time, but a quick rub with a silver polishing cloth makes it shine again. Many of the beads I use are already oxidized and don't need much extra care. The smoother beads do require a little polishing at times, but a whole necklace can be cleaned in about five minutes. Storing them in Ziploc bags with the air removed also helps.

Lovely turquoise with agate dzi beads, two varieties of round agate beads, and copper-coloured accents. The copper-coloured beads are metal, so this necklace is not for people with non-precious metal allergies.

Simple, elegant, and powerful. Combines the protective quality of hematite with beautiful hand-made Bali silver. Looks dynamite in real life. I like this necklace so much, I made one for myself!
This necklace is 16 inches long, desiged to fit close to the neck, but can be sized.

My apologies for the shadowy picture. This necklace is a very dramatic item and also quite versatile. Combines conservative black with antique-y Bali silver to produce a long, rocker chick necklace that hangs to mid-chest.

Very earthy and dynamic item. Has a grounding, protective feel.
Matching earrings with double round agate beads - $18.

The colours of the agate in this necklace are graduated from red-orange at the centre to brown at the top with red-orange accents and round, texturized Bali silver accent beads throughout. Very warm and earthy but with the Bali silver to give it a bit of an edge. 27 inches.
Industrial Romantic style. Dramatic. Hematite is an ore that is shaped into beads. It's a powerful material - my hands and wrists get sore if I work with it too much! It has a Plutonic feel to me - emotionally protective, especially when interacting in the modern world. Very nice in combination with Bali silver. 28.5 inches.

The colours of the beads are graduated from red-browns at the bottom to orange and then yellow at the top. Very warm and rich-feeling item. The photograph really doesn't do it justice. 21 inches.
